Pastor, Don’t Avoid Uncomfortable Topics

The Bible never avoids difficult topics; therefore, the preacher has no excuse for avoiding topics considered uncomfortable. In fact, by avoiding seemingly uncomfortable topics you are doing your hearers a great disservice.

The Need: Preaching Christ from the Old Testament

According to Jason Corn in this post, “Jesus excerts a gravitational pull on all of Scripture.” His presences in the biblical text is unavoidable. Hence, that means preaching needs to be guided by that central pull.
